Too Much Mommy Time??

I think Andrew may have been spending a little too much time with me. On the other hand he does like cars and trucks and climbing all over everything!

Christmas 2009

It was a lot of fun to see how much Andrew has changed in a year. Last year he sat in his bumbo as we opened a few gifts for him. This year he totally got the concept of unwrapping presents, the only challenge was getting him to finish opening the gift he started on! He was excited to help Zeus & Apollo open their dog bones, and to try on Daddy's new slippers. Some of his favorite gifts were a "little people jungle", a mini Ford 150 (he's a bit obsessed with trucks, especially ones that look like Dad's), and books (he loves to read)!!

It's amazing to think that next year we'll have two little helpers, Christmas morning should be very interesting!

Some New Activities

Andy has been quite busy learning all sorts of new things. He has figured out that Apollo is the calm dog that he can love on, and Zeus is the crazy dog that he runs away from. Dogs are definitely his favorite animal, and he gets excited anytime he sees them. One of the cutest things Andrew has picked up is hugging Apollo, and she is very sweet to allow this!

We've also been working on obstacle courses, and it's not uncommon to find Andrew climbing on something or crawling under something else, he is definitely a boy!

Andrew hasn't ever really thought much of the piano, but as soon as Daddy wanted to play, he had a little helper. I kept hearing strange "bongs", and wondered what happened to the nice song Brian was playing!!

Door Hinge + Zeus + Head = OUCH

Andrew got his first goose-egg on his head and a nice bruise last week. He was standing by the garage door so we could go to Gymboree, and Zeus knocked him into the door hinge. It was a little scary, but everybody survived (including the dog, who had to spend some time in her crate for not being gentle)!! At least we'd already gotten our picture with Santa!!

The Petting Zoo

The church put on a fun activity night that featured a petting zoo. Andrew loves his animals, so we had to stop by and see the different animals. He was so excited, and was really interested in getting in the cages too!

Our Tree

We took Andrew to our church to pick out a Christmas tree. He showed some interest at first, but then a dog appeared and he forgot all about the trees!
