Sometimes I feel like this blog will never be up to date. I am very jealous of my friends that are able to post often and so quickly after an event. I am really trying to not ever get more than one month behind, but I'll keep working on it!
Uncle Nick & Uncle Chris moved to Huntsville in March, and the boys and I went to visit during Spring Break. We decided to go have dinner at Uncle Nick's new restaurant, and found ourselves in a bad storm. I had a small moment of panic thinking we were all going to have to dive into a ditch (Northern Alabama has seen its fair share of tornadoes recently); however, we were fine, and got to see 2 rainbows (so clear, and you could see both ends). They seemed so close, I considered going to look for a pot of gold!
- disclaimer, this was awful traffic, we had been stopped for many minutes, no one was harmed during the taking of this photograph
So, somehow we've already reached the high 80's in temperature, it's been a very early & hot Spring, what better reason to break out the popsicles
In March we went back for Andy's annual nut allergy check-up, I forget that he is technically allergic to eggs, so we had to retest for them to see if anything had changed. We had one appointment with the skin test, and the doctor thought it best to go for blood work. It is one thing to give a small child a shot, it's another thing entirely to hold down a small child to get two viles of blood. As usual, Andrew did great, and hopefully we won't have to do this next year.
We have been outside a lot enjoying this great weather, and I decided I should take advantage of being out as well. So, I have taken up running. I love it, and have become a bit addicted, the only problem is that I do most of my running around the cul-de-sac. The boys are interested about 75% of the time, so some of the time they ride bikes, and sometimes they "run" with me!
Matthew is still our quiet, reserved boy, but he also instigates most issues with Andrew. He is being every bit the two year old, and trying to see where his antics will get him. On this particular night, he didn't want to come inside so he "ran away", I couldn't help but capture the photo.
