Children's Christmas Parade

I remember going to Christmas parades when I was little, and I hope to take the boys to the Macy's parade one year.  Children's Healthcare puts on a parade after Thanksgiving every year, and I thought the boys might like it this year.

Everyone needs cotton candy at the parade

It was definitely an adventure, I hope we can go again next year!

Thanksgiving in Michigan

We flew to Michigan for Thanksgiving this year, and we had a great time.
 making our thankful turkeys

visiting Great Grandma & Great Grandpa

it wouldn't be complete without a trip to the farm
 Bronner's - the world's largest Christmas store

Hand's on in Ann Arbor - the children's museum is full of science exhibits

We have so much to be thankful for!!!

Fall 2012

Having fun with the new camera!
We have had the warmest fall.  It's been in the 60's or higher every day, lots of time for outside!!
Matthew had a birthday party for one of his ladybug friends.  They played musical chairs, hilarious!

It wouldn't be fall if there weren't leaves

Zeus

We sadly lost a member of our family.  Zeus passed away just before Thanksgiving after developing a debilitating heart condition.  She was our first baby, and taught us so much about being responsible for something other than ourselves.  Zeus was 7 and 1/2, and we miss her every day, but we know she's in a better place.

It has been an adventure to talk to the boys about Heaven, and what that means, but we're taking it one day at a time.  We're also doing our best to keep Apollo engaged and part of the family.

Auburn

I had to take a little break from blogging for two reasons.  One, Brian got me a fantastic new camera for my birthday, and I've spent the last month playing with it, and learning how it works.  Two, November is National Write A Novel Month (NanNoWriMo), and I decided I could do it.  30 days, 50,000 words, what an accomplishment!
Here's a little glimpse into a fall trip to Auburn.
The sad Toomer's trees.  These are a huge part of Auburn tradition, and they were sadly poisoned last year.  The trees are slowly dying, and will eventually be cut down.
Nick and Chris also happened to be in Auburn that weekend, it was great to get to see them!
My girls!  Peggy Ann, Anne, and Anne's sister in law, Athena.  We had a great day of tailgating.  War Eagle.  Let's just hope we're better next year!

Halloween 2012

The Halloween season gets longer and longer every year, but it's just so much fun!  We had parties, trunk or treat, and trick or treating.  Such a good time, and so much candy!
We get our pumpkins from this church every year, and the boys look for the pumpkins year round

This year was our first attempt at trick or treating in our neighborhood
Andrew got surprised at the first house by a dancing witch!

Some October Fun

Andrew had his fall program at school, they told the story of Noah's Ark.  What a difference a year makes, he was singing and dancing, so cute.

Soccer Season One - Check

Tiny Tykes season one was a hit at the Wagner house.  After 4 weeks of Sunday practice, the kids had a jamboree, where they were divided up into teams and played games.
Of course Andrew & Cade were put on the same team
 On a breakaway!

All the kids had a great time, and the parents all wished that the kids had the chance to play "games" earlier in the season.  I think everyone scored a goal that wanted to, and we'll definitely play again in the spring.
Side note: the selected trophy above may have taken a dive in the parking lot, but the coaches were super nice, and they had a replacement ready for one upset little man!

Tiny Tykes

We decided to let Andrew try soccer this fall.  This program meets for 5 Sundays for practice with a Jamboree game on the last day.  We kept our expectations low, I had visions of flower picking or just running around in circles.
We had to buy shin guards and socks (not so easy for a 4 year old), they provide the ball and the shirt
Andrew & some of his buddies from his Giraffe class
Low and behold, we have a soccer player!  He loves to run up and down the field while dribbling the ball, and we love it too, the parents help their kids run the drills, so much fun!
